I like to sing.........no, I really like to sing.......why today alone, I made up a song and sang it to my youngest grandson about hot dogs.........it's not going to get published, Alicia Keyes isn't going to make a top ten hit out of it, but he liked it and it kept him happy and not whining until we got home, so we could eat hot dogs...........

We have started to play "his" cds in the car now and it came to pass that I realized that I didn't know the correct words to the song Lavender Blue .

Now for the life of me, I can't remember what I sang, but it sure wasn't about being a king or queen, but I thought I knew the words.........I sure knew dilly dilly.


Another song that just jumped up and slapped me is one from my guys, THE BEATLES

LUCY IN THE SKY........ honest to Pete, for years I sang and sang loudly " Lucy in disguise "......now wouldn't you think that someone that I know, any of my children, a perfect stranger would lean over and clamp their hand over my mouth and tell me what the real words are.........well don't you?

for years I was singing "it's factual".......now it's not a biggy, but good gravy, in all of the years I have been belting out the wrong words, no one, not one single soul has tried to help me out........just picture this...........I have been chosen to sing for the heads, presidents, kings and all sorts of other high mucky muck, and one of them requested that I sing his/her favorite BEATLES song.........Lucy.........yup, there I am, belting out in my nasal voice with all of the feelings that I can muster and not singing the right words........man, don't tell me I wouldn't be upset............hmmmm, now I am also thinking that the probability of this happening isn't as high as my winning HGTV's new Green House, but it could............
