Today I am determined to walk away from the computer and do some jewelry work in earnest.......also my daughter requested ear rings for her birthday gift.......and since her b-day is coming up at the end of the month.......hmmmm, thinking I don't want to wait until the last minute.

I am glad that I chose that particular quote........I have a hard time with change.....well those around me think I do at least. I think of all of the changes that have taken place in my life and I don't think I need to bow my head to low. I do find that I have a hard time understanding some things.........like (you knew that was coming, huh?)

1. Children that can act anyway "they" want......ok, I know, half of the parents in this country at least are afraid of "guiding" their children, because of some social service showing up at the door to 'investigate'. See, here again, I am sitting on the fence....I know we need these organizations, because I hate the thoughts of a child being hurt or mistreated..............yet, where do we draw the line between helping and becoming little dictators?

2. Parents that allow their children to speak rudely..........not only to them -the parents- but to others as well. I know, I know...........children have a right to their thoughts..............but maybe until they can afford to support these thoughts, they should remain silent...........sorry, I agree with Bill Cosby, he told his children " This is my house, and I have invited you to live here........but if you don't obey the rules, we can find other accommodations for you" That isn't an exact quote.......a general idea..........but I like it.

3 Why the news, both written and televised, focus on the negative. Oh, I know that I am not alone on this one, but I had to put it down. I think that we should require that in each newspaper in each section, some type of positive article be written.........same with news cast..........it doesn't have to be a heart wrenching, tissue grabbing type of thing..........maybe something humorous........informative in a off-beat type of way.........shoot, let's brain storm on this and see what we can come up with.

Man, I have got to stop typing.......first I need to call an internet friend to ask her some questions, I need to start laundry, I need to get to work on some ear rings and mostly, I promised myself that I wouldn't get on the soap box and start that whinging and preaching thing again........tee hee..........
