Jabber Jaw time

It's getting closer and closer to the day.........

I don't have a whole lot to share today either...........BUT...........I have lots of non useful information.........like

BLUE-RINGED OCTOPUS
The lethal venom of the blue-ringed octopus can kill in minutes and there is not known antidote. This makes them one of the deadliest animals on earth........even thought they are the size of a golf ball

Now why do I share this information, well maybe some of you are going to some exotic and wonderful place over the holidays and I want to be sure that I have done my best to warn you of the dangers out there...........I want all of you to return safely !!!!!

It only takes one vote

SNEEDVILLE, Tenn. -- All it takes is one vote to win. Just ask a Tennessee woman who was elected constable by voting for herself. Angela Tuttle, 32, said her father encouraged her to run as a write-in candidate because no one else was vying for one of the positions in Hancock County, which is in northeastern Tennessee.Tuttle said her husband initially didn't even realize she was
running.
I finally told him about a month before the election," she told The Associated Press on Friday. Her husband didn't think she would win, but now he "just grins at her," she said.Hancock County election officials said 131 voters of the 674 registered in the 3rd District voted Thursday. Tuttle's vote was the only one cast in the constable race. She will be sworn in Dec. 1.The certified nursing assistant and mother of a 10-year-old son will help serve warrants and patrol neighborhoods in her district. She said her father, a longtime constable who won his own re-election in another district, will "show her the ropes."

Now see how important your vote is..........truly each vote counts. I don't want to bring this one up, but why didn't her husband vote for her????? Hmmm, something to think about, huh?

Oh I know you shoppers are going to LOVE this one.

On a crisp October day in 1857 R.H. Macy opened his store in New York City. He racked up sales that day of $11.06, and two years later his sales totaled $85,000 for the year. Santa made his first in-store appearance at Macy’s in 1870. In 1902, a new Flagship Store was opened at the current location at Herald Square.

Well according to the newspaper today is the day it took place, but the newspaper said it was in 1858, and the Macy's site says 1857......I think I will go with the actual Macy's site.............

Having lived in Why-oh-ming for so many years, can you imagine the excitement when I arrived here in Texas and saw that Macy's has satellite stores in many of the malls..........I was thrilled!!!!

Another history tidbit........today in 1886 the Statue of Liberty a gift from the people of France, was dedicated in New York Harbor by President Cleveland.

Here are some statistic facts about the statue:
Height from feet to torch 46.05 meters
Ground to tip of torch 93 meters
The thickness of head from ear to ear 3 meters
Index finger 2.44 meters
Length of nose 1.37 meters
Width of the tablet 4.14 meters
Weight of the Statue of Liberty Pedestal 27 kilotons

So that's it for today.......a little bit of this and a little bit of that..........hope you have a super Tuesday and get to share a laugh with someone..........
