Hmmm, good advice

A friend sent this to me.........it's cute, but it also packs quite a whallop..........

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.
The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside. "That laundry is not very clean", she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap"
Her husband looked on, but remained silent.Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,the young woman would make the same comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:
"Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?"
The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."

What we see when watching others depends on the
purity of the window through which we look.
I try to remember that I have not walked in other people's shoes.....had their life experiences, felt their personal pain.......but I slip so often.....I feel the anger come out when someone is slower than me (is that possible?), when people can't control their children, man I have a long road to travel to improve.....maybe I better get a better map and sit down and read it carefully.......and with a little help from my family and friends, I can do better.
Have a good day....spread some sunshine...a smile......and if you are lucky you will receive one back in return.........

I think it's human nature for us to tend to see the worst in people...I love that story, what a lesson to be learned!! It's so easy to put down a person because they do something against our beliefs but as you say, we haven't walked in their shoes and until we do, then we should keep our opinions to ourselves. Great post Mary Ellen:-) xoxo
