A little of this and a little of that

Went shopping with my daughter today........me I was singing songs, feeling the spirit..........her, well let's just say maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

Now here goes the little of this and a little of that .............we had a small splash of snow in San Antonio the other day.......didn't last of course and by the time the kids got up and out for school all that was left was on the roofs.......but I took pictures.

That's it......hey it's south Texas.....we were happy to see this much.
Brussel sprouts..........yeah, brussel sprouts............my daughter informed me today that brussel sprouts were "old" people vegetables! I guess I missed that lesson in home economics back in the dark ages. So when did brussel sprouts become old people vegetables? I love them.........always have. My sil said he liked them with lots of cheese sauce. I remember my mil use to use a cream of shrimp soup and a wee bit of milk and make a sauce to pour over them........oh man, straight to the hips but it was such a delicious trip! Do you like brussels sprouts?

I need to take pictures of our decorations and trees..........haven't done that yet.........I will..........here are a few trees that were on the BHG site today

I like this tree so much.........totally covered. To me the tree is the blank canvas and you are the artist that creates what it becomes...............

This one and the next weren't from BHG........they were in a store, but aren't they beautiful?

Here is the last picture.........it brings back the memories of when we were living out in the country in Why-oh-ming and we were in a little settle area, we all decorated our homes. Our home was surrounded by pine trees and we had them in our lawn too, part was lawn, and some we just left natural (watering thing), in the natural area, we had these three pine trees, like Papa bear, Mama bear and of course Baby bear, we put red lights on one, blue on the next and white on the next...........everyone just loved them.........I can close my eyes and still see them........simple and yet so wonderous...........so here is a tribute to simplicity.....

Hope your day brought you some joy and a smile or two...................

I love brussel sprouts! My daddy would call them baby cabbages when I was a small child...I love them with butter melted over them, with cheese sauce, plain...just love them!
