Dream homes.........

Why the statue of liberty? Because she represents the land of the free and the home of the brave.....a land where even day dreams and fantasies can come true.
I figure at my age and my current state of affairs and finances, that I better settle for a dream or fantasy home. It's ok.......truly it is. Actually it's fun. You don't have to decide where you are going to build it........shoot, so far I have lived in 5 or 6 different regions of the United States in my fantasy home. I don't have to buy land for it........that alone is just taking so much pressure off of me. I don't have to deal with contractors, delays, bad weather, unforeseen problems that always come with any type of project this size. I have an unlimited budget to use. Since I posses so little that goes into a house now, well ladies, put on your sneakers or comfortable walking shoes and let's get going and decorate. I can and have painted different areas different colors and we won't even start what I would like to play with as far as outside.........I do know that if possible lilacs and hydrangeas would be a constant.
I have even gone so far to find two sets of house plans, so the following plans are designs of Donald A. Gardner Architects........so here they are:
Dream home #1

I actually found this picture and floor plan in a magazine a couple of years ago.........I have saved that magazine and treasured looking at the picture. Now this one is going to be really hard to believe.........in the frenzy of cleaning out........I tossed it............ME........I TOSSED IT!!!!!! Good gravy, I discover that I did this last night and I have been in a funk since.........so of course with a bazillion other things I should and could be doing.........yup, I'm on the computer determined as an over extended in girth Nana can get to find it.............and I did..........we won't share how long it took me. Here are the floor plans.
There are two additional bedrooms upstairs...........so right away, trying to be sensible about things.......I certainly wouldn't need the two bedrooms upstairs..........shoot I know I wouldn't have that much company.........and I wouldn't need the dining area......so I would turn that into my studio........
Now in finding this spot, I looked further and found this plan........it's small and probably would work for me to.........

Again it has an upstairs with just a one giant rec room.........not necessary for me. Take one of the bedrooms and change it into a studio or make the dining room the studio......who knows, my fantasy vision is a little cloudy now...........

I do love the world of day dreaming and "some day"..........makes me smile.........

My wife and I have been wanting to build this house on our property in South Carolina for over two years. The First house is our dream home also. We have a large binder full of things we would like in our dream home HAHA.We have talked to a few builders as of date but need to sell our home in Maryland. ONE DAY OUR DREAM WILL COME TRUE. Keep dreaming.
