Internet friends

My computer has become an important part of my life...........it has opened many doors. It has also led to some pretty serious and not s0 pretty times of frustration........remember my post earlier on trying to set up a web site? One of the nicest things that this machine has enabled me, is to find new and interesting friends. As we travel down the path of age, we don't seem to make friends as easily......who knows why, I have some thoughts on that but that will be at another time. What I am leading up to is, I have a friend through the internet that has just received some wonderful news, she is going to be published. I am soooooo happy for her. I truly am........she deserves this recognition. This lady is totally and completely artistic, from her art to the way she decorates her home . Sadly,I have only seen snapshots of both. I am thinking of how my life would have been if I had not been brave enough to approach her through email.........I would still be alive, doing some sort of creative endeavor, I know this. But, I also know that I am glad that I did meet her, that I was brave enough to email a total stranger and compliment them on their work.

I have met so many interesting and outstanding women through the computer.........really women who are the foundation of this country. I am also proud to be able to say that they are my freinds. Ok, so they won't be able to bring a casserole over to the house if I am sick, but I know that they care, as I care for them. I am rambling, but somehow I want to convey to each and every one of these special women, if they read this blog, even if you have come and gone from my internet life, you did leave a lasting impression, one that I will treasure. I have learned so many things, emotionally, mentally, artistically, and just day - to - day living wise from all of you. I curtsey and say "Thank you.......thank you for allowing me into your lifes and you into mine."
